FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Is Your Specialty as a Charter Captain?
I would have to say live bait fishing. I love artificials but live bait allows me to engage with people of all different skill levels; Plus I am old-school! I customize my charters to who steps onto my boat.
Where Do We Leave From?

Tampa Bay.

Obviously my fishing changes throughout the year to adjust to the seasons and the fish; but my favorite place to leave from is, O’Neill’s Marina. O’Neill’s Marina is located in South St. Petersburg off of 275 South & Exit 16.

I also pick up from Channelside, Gandy Boat Ramp, St Pete Pier, Tierra Verde Marina, The Wharf Restaurant on Pass a Grille Beach, Anna Maria Island, and private residences on the water.

Boca Grande
From The Innlet, Gasparilla Boat Ramp, Little Gasparilla Island, Palm Island, Don Pedro Island, Manasota Key, Englewood, & Bokeelia Tarpon Inn.

What to Bring?

A coke and a smile! Pretty much everything is provided: Fishing Licenses, Rods, Daiwa Reels, Fishing Tackle, Cooler w/ Ice & Water, Sunblock, and Live Bait!

Bring a good attitude, hat, glasses, food, and drinks. A dockside lunch is not out of the question.

How Many People Can Fish?

On my boat I can fish 1-4 people, but I can accommodate to as many as a soccer team!

Can You Keep Your Catch?

We recommend catch and release but I love seafood. I leave the decision of killing the fish to the fisherman. I will Clean and Bag your catch. If you are visiting, there are local restaurants in the Tampa Bay area that will cook your catch.

What Time Do You Leave?

Depends on the time of year and what the tides are doing. Typically, I leave the dock between 7-8 am. The hot temps of Late July, August, and early September force me out earlier. Night Tarpon Fishing is a lot of Fun.
